Troubles caused by The Flood

Bangkok is currently flooding and is creating lots of problems and complications. This flood has caused lots of trouble to people; some people had lost their jobs while some lost their houses and loved ones. If our house is flooded, we will have to lose all our pets like fishes and dogs but it's not likely that my house will get flooded. Our house is not likely to get flooded because it is built quite high.
The flooding that is currently happening in Thailand hasn't affected me directly yet, but it had caused my family and cousins lots of trouble already. Before moving to Pattaya, my family and I helped carry all the furniture upstairs except the sofas, chairs, and tables. Then my mom had covered the piano with a waterproof bag. We did this to protect the piano from getting wet and broken. We didn't want to lose the piano for it is very expensive. My family and I then moved to Pattaya for a while because we thought that our house was going to flood soon. When we came back home, we were surprised by how dry it was. We had gone away to avoid the flood but it ended up that we had wasted a lot of money for nothing. The trip has cost us a lot of money due to the expensive hotel rooms. We had no choice but to stay at expensive rooms because other hotels and rooms are already occupied. The flood caused my aunt to have to flee out of her house without even packing. While my other aunt has to continue living in her flooded house because there was no way out. Unfortunately, the flood hit my cousin's house in the middle of the night and no one was aware of it. In the morning after they have found out that their house was flooded but it was too late. Everything on the first floor was now underwater.  All their old things collection was gone with the water. Luckily they were able to get out of the house and are now living in a condo.
Now that some factories are closed down, prices tend to get higher. It is hard to transport certain goods due to the flooding. Some factories are only closing because of the flood while other factories are permanently closed. For this, many people are losing their jobs and are not able to live and survive.
Even though we are still safe and dry, there are other people who are living miserably because of the flood. My parents and cousins have helped them by donating money, food and things for them. Here are some pictures of people who are affected by the flood.

  1. Thanks for posting Minnie. Yes, it is absolutely an inconvenience to move temporarily to another town and pay money for hotels while waiting out the flood, but would you agree that that is better than losing almost everything as some people have? I hope that your house remains dry and that you do well when the piano test gets rescheduled. The photos are an effective addition to the post, why did you choose these two? Be safe.
